Laynia Petrovna (Darkstar)[]
Darkstar had the ability to tap into and manipulate an intense-black form of extradimensional energy called the Darkforce. This energy, which appears to be related to the extradimensional black gas-like substance manipulated by Shroud and Cloak, possesses mass and form (whereas Cloak's and Shroud's does not). It may be that it is the same substance and that Darkstar simply knows how to manipulate it to greater effect than the other two. Her power seems analogous to that of Blackout.
- Darkforce Constructs: Darkstar could project the Darkforce into simple, mentally controlled forms such as pincers, rings, columns, spheres, and so on. She could form objects with a maximum density of 175 pounds per cubic inch and resistance to concussive forces of up to 320 pounds per square inch. She can form objects with a maximum volume of approximately 750 cubic feet, sufficient to encompass ten human being comfortably. These objects are solid and well-defined while she consciously wills them to be. If she is rendered unconscious, they dissipate. Darkstar can also project a beam of solid force, capable of impacting an object with sufficient power to rupture a three-inch solid hard carbon steel or tip over an average, loaded railroad boxcar.
Silhouette Chord (Silhouette)[]
Silhouette is able to manipulate the Darkforce but on a more limited level than most other Darkforce wielders in the Marvel Universe.
Silhouette originally had the power to shadowmelt, thereby becoming nearly invisible while under the cover of darkness, as well as the ability to teleport via dimension hop, using any available shadow as a portal. She could also open small portals anywhere shadows exist and use them to attack distant enemies by extending her crutches through them.
After a disturbance in the Darkforce that affected everyone who used it, she found that her powers had increased to the point where she could now teleport others. She has demonstrated this ability by teleporting small groups of people along with herself, although it is painful and leaves her exhausted. She can also now become "living darkness," and can cause extreme pain by phasing through the bodies of her enemies.
Silhouette also has enhanced speed, strength, agility, and sensory perception. She is a capable martial artist but is not on par with her brother.
